Welcome to Division 35 - Calumet Harbor, Chicago Illinois

As a part of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary District Nine - Western Region, Division 35 Station Calumet provides administrative, training, communication and supervisory support to 7 flotillas which proudly serve the Chicagoland area. While Division 35 does not directly provide services to the general public, each of our flotillas provides boating education classes, vessel safety checks and much more. Division 35 flotillas assist the U.S. Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as safety patrols, search and rescue, and marine environmental protection. During the 2010 boating season, the seven Division 35 flotillas, consisting of 175 Auxiliarists performed 803 Vessel Safety Checks; 23 instructors conducted 185 hours of Boating Safety Education; and 18 crew members and 7 coxswains engaged in 637 hours of Safety and Regatta Patrols, assisting 36 boaters with problems with their vessels. Division 35 provided 147 hours of Marine Safety Operations and a total of 1,225 hours of Coast Guard Operations Support. If you are interested in recreational boating safety and would like more information about our programs, or even becoming a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, you may contact us and we will refer your inquiry to the appropriate flotilla, or you may contact one of our flotillas directly.
