Welcome
| As a part of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary District Nine - Western Region, Division 35 Station Calumet provides administrative, training, communication and supervisory support to 7 flotillas which proudly serve the Chicagoland area. While Division 35 does not directly provide services to the general public, each of our flotillas provides boating education classes, vessel safety checks and much more. Division 35 flotillas assist the U.S. Coast Guard in non-law enforcement programs such as safety patrols, search and rescue, and marine environmental protection. During the 2009 boating season, the five Division 35 flotillas, consisting of 125 Auxiliarists performed 721 Vessel Safety Checks; conducted 65 hours of Boating Safety Education; and engaged in 485 hours of Safety and Regatta Patrols, assisting 20 boaters with vessels cumulatively valued at over $230,000 - and most importantly, saved one life. If you are interested in recreational boating safety and would like more information about our programs, or even becoming a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, you may contact us and we will refer your inquiry to the appropriate flotilla, or you may contact one of our flotillas directly. | ||||
